Big news for the DIVEVOLK community — we're saying thank you with a giveaway. Based on months of feedback from divers and underwater creators, we've redesigned the bolt knobs on our Expansion Clamp. The new bolt is ergonomic, easier to lock, and easier to remove, even when your fingers are cold, wet, or gloved. To celebrate the upgrade, we're giving away 100 free upgraded bolts to creators who share their SeaTouch underwater shots on social media. Open worldwide — shipping is on us.

What Changed on the Expansion Clamp Bolt

If you've ever tried to dial in clamp tension with numb fingers at the end of a dive, you already know the problem. The original bolt knob had a low, flat profile that was tough to grip once your hands were cold or wet. We heard you, and we fixed it.

The new bolt keeps the same thread and footprint as the original, so it's a direct drop-in replacement across every SeaTouch 4 housing. What's different is the head:

  • Ergonomic wing profile — wider grip surface for better leverage, especially in gloves
  • Easier to lock tight — more torque with less effort, so your clamp stays put through surge and current
  • Easier to remove — no more fumbling at the end of a dive when you're ready to swap rigs
Old vs new Expansion Clamp bolt comparison — original flat knob replaced by ergonomic wing-shaped head that is easier to lock and disassemble underwater

Post Requirements

DIVEVOLK giveaway post requirements infographic — publish on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok with #divevolk and #divevolkgiveaway hashtags, show the SeaTouch housing on camera, share underwater shooting results, and tag DIVEVOLK to qualify for the free upgraded bolt and L-bracket bonus

To qualify for a free bolt, your post needs to check every box below. We review each submission manually, so please read carefully before publishing:

  1. Publish on any platform that suits you — Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or similar. Pick the one where your audience is most active.
  2. Show the SeaTouch housing on camera. Your video or photo must physically include the housing — a surface shot, a topside setup clip, or an in-use underwater frame all work.
  3. Include your underwater shooting result. The post should feature content captured with a smartphone inside the SeaTouch — photos or video that show what the rig can actually do.
  4. Write a real caption. Describe what you shot, where, and how the SeaTouch performed. One-line captions don't cut it — we're looking for posts that genuinely inform other divers.
  5. Tag us and use the campaign hashtags. Include #divevolk and #divevolkgiveaway, and tag the official DIVEVOLK account on the platform where you're posting.

Fine Print

  • Limit: 100 units total. Once they're gone, the giveaway closes.
  • Shipping: The campaign is open worldwide and DIVEVOLK covers the shipping cost. A small number of regions have customs or clearance restrictions that prevent reliable delivery — if your address falls into one of those, our team will reach out to arrange an alternative delivery address.
  • Compatibility: Fits all SeaTouch 4 housings — no adapter needed.
  • Review time: We respond to submissions within 3 business days. If you haven't heard back after that window, check your spam folder and feel free to follow up.
  • Questions: Reach out through our contact page, or consult technical support if you need help identifying which bolts are on your current housing.

A Few Tips to Make Your Submission Stand Out

Every approved creator gets the upgraded bolt. The extra L-bracket goes to the posts that genuinely move the DIVEVOLK community — content that teaches something, shows the rig in action, or captures a scene most divers don't get to witness. None of this requires a pro-level setup. A smartphone in a SeaTouch housing and a thoughtful approach are enough.

Frame the Shot Like a Storyteller, Not a Snapshot

The strongest submissions treat each frame as one piece of a larger narrative. Instead of posting 20 clips of the same reef, pick three frames that show a beginning, middle, and end — the rig on the boat, the descent, and the subject you were after. If you're working in macro, get the lens close and commit to the subject; if you're shooting wide, give your reef scene negative space so the eye has somewhere to rest. For compositional fundamentals adapted specifically to phone housings, our guide on switching from dedicated cameras to smartphone housings breaks down what changes and what doesn't.

Let the Light Do Its Job

Color loss underwater is brutal — red drops off by 5 meters, orange by 10, and by 20 meters you're shooting in a blue-green monochrome unless you add a light. For natural-light shots in clear water, keep the sun behind you and the subject angled toward you; shoot during the middle of the day when penetration is strongest. For macro and deeper scenes, a focused beam makes the difference between a muddy frame and a post that stops a scroll. Our dive lights collection covers compact options that mount directly to the SeaTouch tray.

Fix Color In-Camera, Not In Post

The UWACAM app — free with every SeaTouch — handles auto white balance, depth-based color correction, and LUT-based grading while you shoot. That means you walk out of the water with files that look right, instead of spending hours pushing sliders on land. If you haven't used it yet, our deep dive into the UWACAM app walks through every feature, from UWACOLOR to the Vizalyzer species ID. Posts that show "straight out of UWACAM" footage tend to land well with the community because they're honest about what the rig produces.

Get Closer Than You Think

The single biggest upgrade in underwater image quality is physical distance: the less water between your lens and the subject, the less scatter, the sharper the color, the tighter the frame. That often means swimming closer, not cropping in software. For subjects that reward extreme proximity — nudibranchs, shrimp, coral polyps — a macro lens transforms what the phone can resolve; our lens and filter collection has wet lenses designed specifically for the SeaTouch port.

Write a Caption Divers Will Actually Read

A throwaway "🌊 diving vibes" caption buries your post in the algorithm. The ones that perform tell a micro-story: where you were, what you saw, what the conditions were like, and one specific thing that worked (or didn't). Include depth, water temperature, visibility, and the app/settings you used. Treat your caption the way you'd treat a dive log entry paired with photography — factual, specific, and useful to the next diver planning a similar trip.

Stay Honest About Conditions

Not every dive is clear blue water. Some of the most engaging submissions come from challenging conditions — low viz, cold water, strong current, tricky light — because they show the rig holding up where most phones would have stayed dry. Be transparent about depth, dive time, and any limitations you ran into. Honesty about what the rig did well and where you had to adapt resonates more than a sanitized highlight reel.

Credit the Ocean

Posts that highlight marine life respectfully — observing from a distance, no contact, no chasing, no touching — are the ones that align with the DIVEVOLK community and with responsible diving standards generally. A clean frame of a turtle cruising past, captured without crowding it, is always going to beat a forced close-up. The ocean is the reason any of us are in the water; treat every subject as a guest in their home, not a prop for your camera roll.

Ready to Claim Yours?

Go post, tag us, and email Sahra@divevolk.com. We'll be watching the submissions, and the first 100 approved creators get the new bolt on the way — free shipping, no hidden costs, nothing to buy. If you haven't picked up a housing yet, the SeaTouch 4 Max Kits are the easiest way to get the full rig set up for underwater shooting.

Thank you for being part of the DIVEVOLK community. This upgrade exists because you told us what wasn't working — keep that feedback coming.
