The award-winning 'Best of the Show' black and white photo by Rui Bernardo and Joana Narciso, showing a dramatic shipwreck scene with divers and lightning.

We are incredibly proud and excited to share some phenomenal news from the DIVEVOLK community. Please join us in extending a massive congratulations to underwater photographers Rui Bernardo and Joana Narciso!

Rui and Joana achieved a remarkable victory at the final stage of the Portuguese National Championship of Underwater Photography and Video (CMAS), held in the beautiful waters of Madeira Island, Portugal. Competing in the "Smart Devices" category, they not only secured the Gold Medal but also had their image acclaimed as the "THE BEST of the SHOW" across all categories.

This monumental win is a testament to their incredible artistic vision and technical skill. And we are humbled to share that this award-winning shot was captured using an iPhone paired with the DIVEVOLK SeaTouch 4 Max Plus underwater housing.

A "Pandora's Box" for Underwater Photography

This victory is more than just a competition win; it's a milestone in the evolution of underwater smartphone photography. The winning image, a dramatic and powerful black-and-white composition, showcases a level of in-camera and in-water creativity that was previously unimaginable.

But don't just take our word for it. In the words of the champion, Rui Bernardo, this changes everything:

"This image will open a Pandora’s box in the way underwater photography is processed on smartphones and its digital evolution. The ability to fully operate the phone underwater — made possible only by a housing like Divevolk’s — is what enabled this winning shot. Divevolk now has the opportunity to showcase an award-winning image that could only be captured thanks to their technology. No external filters, no mounts, no special lighting — just a phone and a Divevolk housing."

Empowering the Artist's Vision

Rui's testimonial gets to the very heart of why DIVEVOLK exists. Our patented full-touchscreen technology is not just about taking a picture; it's about unlocking the full power of the smartphone for the creator.

This winning shot was made possible because Rui and Joana could use their phone's advanced processing and creative apps while underwater, allowing for a level of artistry that simply isn't possible with button-based housings. Their success is a perfect example of what happens when a brilliant artistic vision meets the right technology.

Congratulations, Rui and Joana!

Once again, our most heartfelt congratulations to Rui Bernardo and Joana Narciso. Your work is inspiring, and we are so honored to have you as part of the DIVEVOLK family. You've shown the world what's possible with just a phone, a DIVEVOLK housing, and a universe of creativity.

This win reinforces a message we've long championed: the future of underwater imaging is accessible, powerful, and in your pocket. We can't wait to see what "Pandora's box" of creativity our community will open next.
