No. The SeaTouch 6 Pro does not support iPhone Duo. For most of 2026, divers kept asking whether a DIVEVOLK housing would take Apple's rumored first foldable. The foldable long rumored as iPhone Ultra launched as iPhone Duo, announced by Apple on September 9, 2026, with retail availability from October 23. On Apple's own published dimensions, iPhone Duo is too wide and too thick for the SeaTouch 6 Pro's phone cavity even when folded, and DIVEVOLK does not list it as a supported phone. Below is why, followed by the phones the SeaTouch 6 Pro does fit.

Why iPhone Duo Doesn't Fit the SeaTouch 6 Pro

The SeaTouch 6 Pro is built around a fixed phone envelope: up to 180.0 × 82.5 × 11.2 mm, and no more than 17 mm thick at the camera module. Here is how iPhone Duo compares with that envelope, using the figures on Apple's iPhone Duo technical specifications, alongside the two newest iPhones the housing does support:

Phone Height (mm) Width (mm) Thickness (mm) Within the SeaTouch 6 Pro envelope?
SeaTouch 6 Pro envelope (maximum) 180.0 82.5 11.2 —
iPhone 18 Pro 150.0 71.9 8.75 Yes, supported
iPhone 18 Pro Max 163.4 78.0 8.75 Yes, supported
iPhone Duo, closed 117.8 84.1 11.3 No: 1.6 mm too wide, 0.1 mm too thick
iPhone Duo, open 117.8 164.6 5.2 No: about twice the envelope width

The dimensions alone rule it out. The rest of iPhone Duo's hardware shows why this is not a near miss that a different adapter could fix.

Folded, It Is Too Wide and Too Thick

Closed, iPhone Duo is short enough, but its 84.1 mm width is 1.6 mm over the 82.5 mm limit and its 11.3 mm thickness is 0.1 mm over the 11.2 mm limit. A housing cavity is a sealed, fixed space, and the phone-specific adapter that locates each phone takes up room inside it rather than adding any. There is no adapter that makes a phone thinner.

Unfolded, It Is Twice the Width, and a Housing Can Hold Only One State

Open, iPhone Duo measures 164.6 mm across, roughly double the width the cavity allows. That matters more than it sounds, because a foldable is really two devices sharing a chassis. Android's developer documentation on foldables treats folded and unfolded as separate device postures for that reason. A sealed housing has to commit to one of them, and the phone cannot change shape once the lid is closed. Built around the folded state, a housing would leave you working on the 5.4-inch outer display. The 7.6-inch inner display, the main reason to buy iPhone Duo, could never be used inside a SeaTouch 6 Pro.

The Hinge Is a Moving Part Inside a Pressure Vessel

At the SeaTouch 6 Pro's 60 m rating, the water presses on the housing with roughly seven times the pressure at the surface. A rigid phone in a rigid cradle simply sits there while the shell takes that load. iPhone Duo is different: Apple describes a precision hinge that supports the center of the display to hold it flat when opened. That is a mechanism, and a cradle for it would have to hold both halves independently so that nothing pushes them together or apart while the housing flexes at depth. SeaTouch 6 Pro adapters are designed to locate one solid phone body, not to keep load off a hinge.

The phone's own rating doesn't change this. Apple rates iPhone Duo IP68 to a maximum depth of 6 m for up to 30 minutes, which is lab splash-and-dunk protection, not a dive rating. On any dive, the housing is what keeps the water out.

The Touch Membrane Needs One Flat, Supported Screen

The SeaTouch membrane works by passing a fingertip's pressure through a flexible film to the phone's own capacitive touchscreen. That transfer depends on the screen sitting flat and firmly backed. iPhone Duo's inner display is a folding OLED panel with a crease down the middle; Apple says its nano-texture finish minimizes how visible the crease is, not that the crease is gone. A crease running under the membrane, with the panel backed by a hinge rather than one continuous rigid frame, is exactly where a touch could be missed. DIVEVOLK rates the sixth-generation membrane's screen touch life at 100,000 times on the phones the housing supports, and every one of them has a single flat screen, not a panel designed to bend.

Cameras, Heat, and Signal Are Built Around a Single Rigid Phone

The SeaTouch 6 Pro has one rear lens window and a half-dome lens integration slot that covers all of a supported phone's lenses. That works because each phone's adapter puts its camera cluster in a known spot behind the window. iPhone Duo's two rear cameras, a 48MP Fusion Main and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide, have no adapter to locate them, so neither the window nor any lens from the DIVEVOLK lens and filter range can be lined up with them.

Heat and signal are also judged per phone. A sealed housing traps heat, and Apple documents how iPhones manage high temperatures, including dimming the display and limiting camera features. Apple cools iPhone Duo's A20 Pro chip with a custom vapor chamber, but inside a sealed shell any phone has less room to shed heat. At the surface, GPS and cellular signals pass through the SeaTouch 6 Pro's engineering-plastic body, which is how divers can call for help without opening the case. Both are judged on the body of each supported phone, and iPhone Duo's two-part body never gets that far.

Its Buttons, Touch ID Included, Can't Be Pressed

The SeaTouch 6 Pro is button-free, so once any phone is sealed in, its side button, volume keys, and Camera Control cannot be pressed. iPhone Duo has all three, and Apple builds Touch ID into its side button, so fingerprint unlock would be lost as soon as the phone went into a button-free housing. The touchscreen is the only input path a SeaTouch has, which is one more reason a phone has to fit the membrane properly before anything else.

This answer comes from the same process as every other SeaTouch compatibility call. DIVEVOLK starts with the phone maker's official dimensions and checks them against the housing envelope. If a phone passes that stage, production units are tested for adapter fit, camera clearance, touchscreen control, and sealing. Only then does the phone get a model-specific entry on the DIVEVOLK technical support page. iPhone Duo fails at the first stage. If DIVEVOLK's position ever changes, that page is where the update will appear.

What the SeaTouch 6 Pro Does Support

The SeaTouch 6 Pro is DIVEVOLK's sixth-generation full-touchscreen housing, rated IPX8 to 60 m. In its iPhone 18 launch announcement, DIVEVOLK confirms these phones:

  • iPhone 18 Pro (150.0 × 71.9 × 8.75 mm) and iPhone 18 Pro Max (163.4 × 78.0 × 8.75 mm), both inside the envelope on Apple's iPhone 18 Pro technical specifications, with production units checked against the housing cavity.
  • iPhone 6 through the iPhone 17 series, including iPhone 17 Pro Max. For what those phones can do underwater, see our iPhone 17 underwater photography review.
  • Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. Its Ocean Mode runs inside the Expert RAW app and is controlled from the touchscreen, so it works through the housing membrane.
  • Ultra-class flagships from Huawei, Xiaomi, vivo, and OPPO. Check your exact model on the support page before you buy.

Each supported phone is held in place by a phone-specific 3D-printed adapter, which positions it between the optical port and the touch membrane. The complete, model-by-model list is on the technical support page. Check your exact phone variant there, not just its family name.

Buying iPhone Duo and Planning to Dive?

  • Take a supported phone underwater. If you are keeping or buying an iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, or any iPhone from the iPhone 6 through iPhone 17 series, that is the phone to seal inside a SeaTouch 6 Pro. Leave iPhone Duo on the boat.
  • Don't force a phone that is out of spec. Even 0.1 mm over the limit is not something to fix by leaving out an adapter or squeezing the lid shut. A housing that closes on a phone it wasn't built for can't be trusted to seal.
  • Want a physical shutter button? The phone's own buttons aren't reachable inside the housing. A tactile shutter comes from the DIVEVOLK Bluetooth external shutter, not the phone's side button or volume keys.
  • Not sure about your exact setup? Ask DIVEVOLK support in writing and keep the reply with your order record. For a general introduction, the beginner's guide to DIVEVOLK phone housings explains how to read a compatibility list.

The Short Answer

The foldable rumored as iPhone Ultra is real now, as iPhone Duo, and it does not fit the SeaTouch 6 Pro. Closed, it is 1.6 mm too wide and 0.1 mm too thick for the housing envelope. Open, it is about twice as wide as the envelope allows. Its hinge and two displays don't suit a single touch membrane, and its Touch ID sits on a side button that cannot be pressed inside a button-free housing. If you want full touchscreen control underwater, use a phone the SeaTouch 6 Pro supports: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 6 through the iPhone 17 series, Galaxy S26 Ultra, or a supported Ultra-class Android flagship. You can find the rest of the range in the DIVEVOLK housing collection.
